Harvey and Aaron Honore have been a pleasure to work with over the last 30 years. We have used them to build the Hummer dealership, and then added the Saturn and Saab showrooms in 2003-06. We renovated the Chevy, Cadillac, and Buick-GMC dealerships in 2010-13, and now are breaking ground on the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealership in 2024. Message From the President
A man with a true servants heart
In 1957, my grandfather established a construction company in the heart of Baton Rouge with one goal in mind, building a reputable construction company that would take care of his family, friends and community like he had done so many years before. As was common in his time, Harvey Sr came up working on the jobsite alongide family & friends performing trades such as concrete, carpentry and masonry. He took pride in his work, and saw the demand for quality work at a fair price. Things didn't always go right, but when they didn't he would work twice as hard to make them so. This mindset quickly made the company successful and before he knew it, Honore was a household name for building in the area. Pop never forgot where he came from and his humble beginnings always kept him grounded. One of his greatest deeds was building 27 houses in the local area and letting people live in them rent free while they were getting back on their feet. He was a man with a true servants heart.
Pop passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 52, only 26 short years after the conception of Honore Construction and 6 months before I was born. It's my vow to continue his legacy of serving others and providing unparalleled quality work. Honore has assembled a talented team of professionals that strives to carry on these guiding principles each and every day. In our 68 years, we've failed more times than we can count, but we know learning from these mistakes is essential in our preservation & growth for the next 68 years.
